Many people have tattoos that they would like to have removed, from names, to little red devils, to tribal style tattoos. Everyone has a different reason for getting a tattoo removed; some people because they no longer wish to have it there and others so that they can have a more appealing tattoo in its place.

A common misconception with laser tattoo removal is the risk of scarring occurring. The risk is very minimal, unlike some older versions of tattoo removal that resulted in removing several layers of skin to get to the ink pigments. Laser tattoo removal passes a pulse of light energy through the skin, which is absorbed by the pigments, making them break apart. The body will then remove the pigment over several weeks.

The process of removing the tattoo is not achieved in one session. It can take anything from 3 to 12 sessions to remove, sometimes more, depending on how the tattoo was produced, how old the tattoo is and also how far you would like the tattoo removed - from complete to partial removal. There is a waiting period of 8 weeks in between treatments to allow the body to remove the broken down pigments.

Each treatment is carried out in a private custom built room with state of the art laser removal equipment by an experienced technician.

Feel free to drop by the studio for a consultation on the best way forward with your laser tattoo removal.
